Brodie Croft delivered a three-try performance to help Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos defeat Catalans Dragons in Perpignan. This victory re-establishes a four-point advantage for the Rhinos at the top of the standings. Leeds entered halftime with a 16-0 lead following successful efforts from Harry Newman, Lachlan Miller, and the first of Croft’s three tries.
Croft added two more scores during an 11-minute stretch in the second half, securing the win despite a late consolation try from Ugo Tison for the hosts. The match marked a disappointing end to a scoring streak for Maika Sivo, who was denied an opportunity to tie the Super League record for consecutive games with a try.
Catalans coach John Cartwright, who introduced debutant Edenn Rogers-Smith, has now seen his team suffer three straight defeats. They remain in eighth place and face a difficult path to the play-offs. Leeds Rhinos continued their strong form with this result, having now secured 12 wins in their last 13 matches.
