Borno Military Operation Leads to Capture of Two Abduction Suspects

Operation Hadin Kai soldiers arrested two suspected kidnappers in Borno State’s Gubio LGA and recovered an AK-47 rifle.

Soldiers from Operation Hadin Kai recently apprehended two individuals suspected of involvement in kidnapping within the Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State. The news was shared on Monday via a social media update by security researcher Zagazola Makama.

Intelligence reports regarding a local criminal syndicate led security forces to the suspects around 6:00 p.m. this past Sunday. The operation involved personnel from the 5 Brigade coordinating with the Hybrid Force to effectively track and secure the individuals. During the arrest, forces seized an AK-47 rifle along with its magazine.

The detainees and the confiscated weaponry have been transferred to the relevant agencies to undergo further inquiry. This mission aligns with broader military objectives to reduce criminal activity and kidnapping throughout the region. Operation Hadin Kai remains focused on utilizing intelligence to disrupt the movements of extremist groups and criminal entities in the North-East.
