Bature Claims Buba Galadima Damaged Kwankwaso’s Political Career

Kano Governor’s spokesperson Sunusi Bature claims Buba Galadima is a political liability who harmed Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s career, similar to his alleged negative impact on Muhammadu Buhari.

Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, who serves as the Director-General of Media and Communications for Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, recently criticized Buba Galadima. During a radio interview, Bature labeled the Nigeria Democratic Congress chieftain as an opportunist who has failed to provide any real value to political organizations.

Bature asserted that Galadima’s presence is currently the primary obstacle for Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement. He argued that this alliance pushed Kwankwaso toward political decline and caused him to frequently switch party affiliations.

To support his stance, Bature pointed to the history of former President Muhammadu Buhari. He suggested that Buhari’s early presidential bids struggled due to his association with figures like Galadima. Bature claimed that victory was only achieved after Buhari distanced himself from Galadima and formed a partnership with Bola Tinubu.

The governor’s spokesman further alleged that Galadima holds little genuine influence despite his long career. He described him as a political nomad lacking impact in his own hometown of Bade, opting instead to prioritize patronage in Abuja. Galadima has not yet provided a response to these accusations.
