Enugu NDC Leaders Back Johnpaul Anih Executive and Denounce Internal Sabotage

Enugu NDC stakeholders have officially pledged their loyalty to the Dr. Johnpaul Anih-led State Working Committee, warning against attempts by outsiders to destabilize the party’s leadership.

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) stakeholders in Enugu State held an expanded meeting on Saturday to declare their continued backing of the State Working Committee (SWC) headed by Dr. Johnpaul Anih. Attendees, including party candidates and members, praised the executive for successfully revitalizing the party’s presence and operations within the state.

Hon. Jonathan Ogbu, the NDC chairman for Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, emphasized that the current leadership is the only one legitimized by an INEC-monitored congress. He warned that local politicians attempting to undermine the party through external influence would face stiff resistance. Hon. Kingsley Ape and Hon. Stephen Ajah added that the Anih administration was solely responsible for securing the party’s spot on the ballot for the upcoming local government elections.

The leadership warned that efforts to disrupt the status quo could cause a massive loss of members. They urged those creating internal conflict or establishing unauthorized parallel structures to stop immediately. Furthermore, the stakeholders expressed frustration with the national leadership, calling for transparent conflict resolution that respects the party’s constitution. They concluded by urging all members to maintain unity and remain focused on advancing the NDC’s goals in Enugu.
