Bandits Kidnap Naval Officer, Family Members In Kaduna
Armed bandits have abducted a naval officer and members of his family in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, August 20, 2025, around 2 a.m., when gunmen invaded Unguwan Mission in Kachia.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the victims include Seaman Olatunji Enoch, 40, of the Nigerian Navy attached to NNSAT Kachia, his wife, Margaret Olatunji, and their daughter, Hellen Bitrus.
Security agencies have since launched a manhunt for the kidnappers, with cordon-and-search operations underway in nearby forests. Authorities said the operation is focused on securing the safe release of the victims without harm.
