Atiku Alleges Tinubu Administration Facilitated PFIPC Imposter Access

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar claims the Tinubu administration enabled the fraudulent activities of PFIPC head Adeniyi Adeyemi and flagged suspicious budgetary allocations.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress, has accused President Bola Tinubu’s government of granting Adeniyi Adeyemi unrestricted access to state resources. Adeyemi, who claimed to lead the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), recently faced arrest. According to a statement released by Atiku’s aide, Phrank Shaibu, this apprehension serves as a diversionary tactic aimed at scapegoating the opposition instead of investigating deep-seated administrative complicity.

Atiku voiced disbelief regarding how the fraudulent organization managed to secure diplomatic standing, recruit hundreds of workers, and establish a physical presence within the Federal Secretariat. He argued that the true controversy lies in the government enabling Adeyemi to adopt the guise of official authority, which permitted him to engage with foreign diplomats and state institutions under the pretense of representing Nigeria.

Furthermore, the former Vice President scrutinized suspicious financial provisions within the 2026 budget. He specifically questioned a 6.44 billion Naira allocation designated for a support group linked to World Cup qualifiers, noting that Nigeria was mathematically eliminated from the tournament in late 2025.
