Atiku Abubakar reports unauthorized funds and security breach

Atiku Abubakar has reported a mysterious credit to his private bank account to security agencies, raising concerns about a potential data breach and the vulnerability of personal financial information.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress, has alerted security agencies regarding an unexplained deposit into his personal bank account. Phrank Shaibu, his senior aide, confirmed on Friday that an unidentified individual sent the funds with a note referencing an election campaign contribution. The former Vice President clarified that he did not authorize or request this transaction.

Because the account in question is strictly private, Shaibu expressed significant concern over how external parties secured the banking credentials. He warned that if such private information can be compromised, it places ordinary citizens at risk of criminal targeting. The campaign team suggested that individuals with internal access might be involved, labeling the breach a serious security lapse.

The statement characterized this event as a recurring pattern of suspicious actions preceding the general elections. The camp urged the public to remain focused and ignore these attempts at character assassination, asserting that Atiku remains committed to presenting his leadership agenda to the country.
