Aston Villa Negotiating Loan Deal for Chelsea Winger Garnacho

Aston Villa is in active negotiations to sign Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho on a loan deal with a potential obligation to buy, as both clubs look to finalize roster changes.

Aston Villa is currently engaged in discussions to acquire Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea on a loan agreement that potentially includes a mandatory purchase clause. The 21-year-old Argentine forward, who contributed eight goals and four assists across 43 appearances for Chelsea last season, was listed for transfer last month with a price tag of £43 million.

This development arrives shortly after Chelsea secured the signing of Morgan Rogers from Villa for a record £117 million. In subsequent negotiations, discussions have included both Garnacho and striker Nicolas Jackson, valued at £65 million, moving to Villa Park. If this transfer concludes, Garnacho would become Villa’s fourth major acquisition this summer, joining Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, and Modou Kaba Cisse. Meanwhile, Villa has generated nearly £200 million through the exits of players such as Youri Tielemans, Donyell Malen, Enzo Barrenechea, and Lewis Dobbin.

Chelsea is eager to part ways with Garnacho despite acquiring him from Manchester United for £40 million only last September. Manchester United retains a 10 percent clause on any future sale. Garnacho struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, scoring just once in the Premier League, and Chelsea’s recent acquisitions of Rogers and Geovany Quenda have intensified the club’s efforts to trim their squad size.
