APC Successfully Uploads All 2027 Candidates Before Deadline

APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda confirms that the party has successfully uploaded its full list of 2027 election candidates to the INEC portal ahead of the original deadline.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has confirmed that the party successfully registered all candidates for the 2027 general elections on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. This submission includes every elective position, ranging from State Houses of Assembly to the presidency, and was completed prior to the initial deadline set by the commission.

According to Abimbola Tooki, the Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, this accomplishment highlights the party’s operational efficiency and systematic coordination across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. While INEC eventually granted an extension for submissions from August 8 to August 11, 2026, the APC had already finished its internal processes within the original timeframe.

Yilwatda emphasized that this achievement reflects the party’s discipline and readiness to govern. He urged the public to evaluate political organizations based on their structural capacity and adherence to electoral rules rather than just campaign rhetoric. By meeting the deadline early, the party aims to redirect its focus toward grassroots mobilization, policy development, and campaign strategy for the upcoming election cycle.
