APC Chairman’s Wife and Daughter Taken by Armed Men in Kwara
Gunmen have kidnapped the wife and daughter of Alhaji Muhammad Swasun, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sakpefu, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident occurred on Sunday night, September 7, when about five armed men scaled the fence of the chairman’s residence and fired shots to scare residents. They reportedly broke into one of the rooms, seized Swasun’s wife and daughter at gunpoint, and took them away.
A member of the APC state executive council, who requested anonymity, confirmed the abduction to Vanguard on Monday morning. He said the chairman narrowly escaped being kidnapped, as the attackers went directly for his wife, Haja Fatima, and daughter, Amina.
The gunmen were said to have operated for several minutes before fleeing with the victims to an undisclosed location.
