Apapa Customs has set a new benchmark after generating N20.1 billion in daily revenue, just 24 hours after Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba assumed command.
The record-breaking figure, achieved through the Unified Customs Management System (B’Odogwu), marks the highest single-day revenue collection ever recorded by any Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) command.
In a statement, Command Public Relations Officer Superintendent Tunde Ayagbalo said the feat surpassed the previous N18 billion record under former leadership. He praised officers for their dedication and discipline, urging them to maintain momentum and aim even higher.
Comptroller Oshoba, reacting to the achievement, called it “only the beginning.”
“It’s not time for celebration because I foresee greater exploits for the flagship command of the NCS under my leadership,” he said. “B’Odogwu is a necessity in building a modern and efficient customs administration that strengthens Nigeria’s position as Africa’s largest economy.”
He commended his officers and stakeholders for their efforts and emphasized the need to stay focused: “It’s not the time to clap yet because clapping means removing your two hands from work to celebrate.”
