Aloy Ejimakor calls on President Tinubu to address violence against Nigerians in South Africa

Aloy Ejimakor urges President Bola Tinubu to issue a strong warning to the South African government following ongoing attacks against Nigerian citizens.

Legal practitioner and activist Aloy Ejimakor, who serves as a special advisor to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has formally requested that President Bola Tinubu take a firm stance against the South African government regarding ongoing violence targeting Nigerians. Ejimakor stated that the President must communicate clear consequences if Nigerian lives continue to be lost at the hands of South African mobs.

In a public statement addressing South African citizens, Ejimakor expressed deep disappointment, labeling the prevalence of anti-African sentiment as disgraceful. He reminded the public that black African nations united globally to assist in dismantling apartheid, noting that figures like Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki received significant support and refuge in Nigeria during their struggle. He also highlighted the sacrifices made by frontline states such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania to secure South African liberation.

Ejimakor called upon South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to take decisive action to curb the hostilities, emphasizing that the responsibility for ending these attacks rests with his administration. Finally, he urged President Tinubu to deliver a stern warning to South African authorities, insisting that any further loss of Nigerian lives will result in serious repercussions.
