Senate President Godswill Akpabio recently poked fun at Senator Adams Oshiomhole concerning a widely circulated video. The clip appeared to show the former Edo State governor massaging a woman’s leg while traveling on a private aircraft. Akpabio noted that the upper chamber initially dismissed the recording, believing it to be a product of artificial intelligence.
The footage first emerged on X on February 3, 2026, causing significant public discourse. Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North, quickly rejected the authenticity of the video, attributing it to AI technology. During Thursday’s plenary session, Akpabio revisited the topic with a humorous tone. He mentioned that he had considered questioning his colleague about the footage but ultimately chose to dismiss it as fabricated. He jokingly added that if any genuine evidence surfaced regarding the matter, the Senate would be willing to review it as a formal petition.
