Authorities in Adamawa State have taken Abubakar Musa into custody following a brutal altercation that resulted in the death of Nathaniel Yusuf. Both men resided in the Jambutu area of Yola North.
The incident came to light after the victim’s sister, Grace Yusuf, filed a formal complaint at the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to the Specialist Hospital in Jimeta for emergency care.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, the state police spokesperson, confirmed that Musa allegedly used a wooden stick to inflict critical injuries on the victim, including broken legs, a fractured right arm, and severe head trauma. Despite medical intervention, Yusuf succumbed to his wounds at the facility.
CP Kabiru Umar Hassan has assigned the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yola to handle the inquiry. The police aim to ensure the suspect faces legal consequences for the incident.
