Netflix Mocks Avengers: Doomsday Cast Reveal Trick to Promote Everybody’s Live

Netflix seized on the buzz surrounding the Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal to promote Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney.

Marvel Studios announced the Avengers 5 lineup by sharing images of chairs labeled with actors’ names. Netflix playfully mimicked this approach, posting a similar image to unveil the cast of Everybody’s Live Episode 3.

The streaming giant shared an image of eight chairs labeled with the names of the episode’s guests, mirroring Marvel’s announcement style. The lineup featured comedy heavyweights, including Mulaney, co-host Richard Kind, Sam Jay, Pete Davidson, Luenell, and Henry Winkler, “licensed funeral director” Raymundo Perez-Plascencia, as well as musical guest Mannequin Pussy. Netflix also used the same caption as the one seen in Avengers: Doomsday’s post, writing, “Take a seat. #EverybodysLive @ 10pm et / 7pm pt.”

Marvel Studios revealed 27 actors for Avengers: Doomsday during a five-hour X livestream, confirming the return of Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, and Simu Liu.

The announcement also introduced the Fantastic Four cast—Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—alongside legacy X-Men characters like Kelsey Grammer’s Beast, Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, James Marsden’s Cyclops, and Sir Ian McKellen’s Magneto.

Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on May 1, 2026.
