Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has demanded the swift removal of Senator Francis Fadahunsi from the All Progressives Congress (APC). This demand follows reports that the senator, who represents Osun East, encouraged his followers to kill members of the Accord Party.
During a Thursday appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show, Adebayo emphasized his opposition to political violence and hostile rhetoric. He stated that the APC shares responsibility for these threats if they fail to discipline the lawmaker. The controversy stems from a viral video capturing Fadahunsi calling for violence against political rivals ahead of the August 15, 2026, gubernatorial race in Osun State.
Adebayo further stated that the public needs to see legal consequences rather than mere assurances from law enforcement. He insisted that the authorities should process the case through the court system to demonstrate accountability.
