Governor Ododo: President Tinubu Cannot Personally Combat Insecurity in Every State

Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State maintains that regional leadership must support the President’s security efforts, as the President cannot personally address crime in every state at once.

Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo has stated that it is impossible for President Bola Tinubu to be physically present in all 36 states simultaneously to address criminal activities. Speaking during a visit to the newly established 21 Battalion Barracks in Anyigba, Kogi East, Ododo emphasized his role as a regional leader serving as one of the President’s key security partners.

Governor Ododo commended the military personnel for their dedication to public safety, noting that the presence of the battalion has significantly boosted local morale. He highlighted the progress made in stabilizing the area, asserting that criminal hideouts are being systematically dismantled. The governor further revealed that President Tinubu has authorized air support for operations in the state, making it increasingly difficult for criminal elements to evade capture.
