Everton and Crystal Palace have successfully concluded a swap deal featuring Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. The 25-year-old Johnson has committed to a four-year agreement with the Toffees, while 26-year-old McNeil is heading to Selhurst Park. This move follows a previous failed attempt in February, where a loan-to-buy agreement for McNeil collapsed because of timing issues with paperwork, despite the player successfully completing a medical examination. The situation previously caused friction, with Megan Sharpley, McNeil’s partner, publicly criticizing Crystal Palace for the incident. Brennan Johnson, a Welsh winger, joined Palace in January for £35 million after a notable performance scoring the decisive goal for Tottenham in the 2025 Europa League final. During his tenure at Palace, Johnson participated in 26 matches without recording a goal.
