Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho is returning to professional play at age 46, having inked a deal with the Italian third-tier team Ravenna FC. The forward, who previously represented Barcelona, AC Milan, and his national squad, has been inactive in professional competition since his 2015 tenure with Fluminense.
As both a new player and a shareholder in the organization, Ronaldinho is scheduled to make his official debut at a ceremony in Miami on June 23. Expressing enthusiasm for the venture, he stated his desire to bring his trademark joy back to the pitch while collaborating with club owner Ignazio Cipriani and his family.
Ignazio Cipriani finalized his acquisition of Ravenna FC in 2024. The club’s leadership also features former AC Milan executive Ariedo Braida, who currently serves as vice-president.
