African Democratic Congress stalwart Dele Momodu has voiced his support for the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026, gubernatorial vote. Writing on his verified X account, Momodu claimed the All Progressives Congress has transformed the region into a site of conflict.
To counter this, Momodu urged opposition groups to unify and support the incumbent governor. The Ovation Magazine publisher described Adeleke as a figure of global significance, suggesting he would outpace President Tinubu in terms of public approval.
Momodu clarified that his endorsement is not rooted in personal relationships but rather in what he considers Adeleke’s superior record of governance. He specifically cited advancements in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure. Finally, he cautioned that opposition parties must work together to prevent the APC from manipulating the upcoming election results.
