Six Arrested Over Killing of Two Police Officers in Yobe
The Yobe State Police Command has arrested no fewer than six suspects for k!lling two police officers in Kolere village, Fune Local Government Area of the state.
DC Operations of the Command, DCP Abdu Abubakar Ozo, disclosed this to newsmen shortly after a routine State Security Council meeting, presided over by the state Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana.
It will be recalled that some high-profile gang leaders overpowered two police officers, DSP Ali Pindar and DSP Jantuku Philibus, leading to their tragic d3aths.
Briefing newsmen, DCP Ozo stated that five to six suspects with connections or links to the k!lling of the two police officers have been arrested and are currently in the State CID for further investigation.
He added that the state command has deployed more operatives to search for others involved in the k!lling of the officers.
