Chessington World of Adventures shuts down due to water supply issues

Chessington World of Adventures closed for the day on Monday due to a local water outage, offering guests ticket refunds or rescheduling options during the busy summer holidays.

Chessington World of Adventures has suspended operations for the day citing an unexpected water outage affecting the surrounding area. The south-west London facility, which includes both a zoo and a theme park, confirmed that guests with tickets for Monday, August 10, are eligible for a refund or may choose to use their tickets on a different date.

Management has not specified the underlying cause of the water loss or provided a timeline for when the park will resume normal operations. This interruption occurs during the peak of the school summer break, which is traditionally a high-traffic season for theme parks across the UK. The park expressed regret for the disruption and appreciated the patience shown by the public.

This incident follows a previous closure in July 2018, when a broken water main disrupted supply to local residences and businesses, leaving many properties with low or no water pressure.
