The Nigerian government has officially endorsed Muhammad Bello Bala Shagari for the presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization (NAMYO). According to the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Shagari is an exceptional candidate whose background in diplomacy and youth advocacy makes him well-suited for the role.

Currently serving as the NAMYO National Representative for Nigeria and Vice Chair for the African region, Shagari has a notable history of fostering international cooperation. The ministry highlighted his integrity and past leadership as the head of the National Youth Council of Nigeria as key factors in their decision.
