Government Officials Set to Attend 2026 TCAN Transportation Summit in Lagos

Key government officials and industry leaders have confirmed their attendance at the 2026 TCAN Transportation Summit in Lagos to discuss infrastructure, logistics, and economic growth.

High-ranking officials, including the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr. Adegboyega Oyetola, have confirmed they will attend the upcoming 2026 Transportation Summit. The event, organized by the Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN), is scheduled for September 24 at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.

Dr. Segun Obayendo, Technical Adviser to the Vice President on Transportation, Logistics and Innovation, and Dr. Kayode Opeifa, Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, are also confirmed speakers. The summit, themed ‘Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Growth Through Transportation Logistics,’ seeks to foster collaboration among policymakers and industry leaders.

Discussions will center on improving logistics infrastructure, overcoming transit bottlenecks, and promoting multimodal transport integration. Dr. Oyetola is set to deliver a keynote address regarding federal logistics agendas and port connectivity reforms. Meanwhile, Dr. Obayendo will highlight the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda, and Dr. Opeifa will discuss advancements in railway modernization and safety.

TCAN Chairman Tola Adenubi emphasized that these high-level appearances demonstrate the government’s dedication to sector reform. The event will also feature the ‘Champion of Transport Industry Development’ awards to recognize significant contributions to the nation’s transport infrastructure.
