Despite the unexpected administrative hurdle, Woods dominated the restaged race, setting another Games record to reaffirm her position as champion. This performance stood in stark contrast to England’s Ellis Kottas, who took home silver in the initial race but fell to fourth place during the replay. Kottas admitted that the decision to void the original results left her emotionally shaken.
