Suspected Fulani militants conducted a violent raid on Fubok village, located in the Daffo district of Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area, resulting in the death of a clergyman known as Pastor Philibus and leaving two congregants with severe injuries. Masara Kim Usman, a journalist covering the conflict, reported that the attackers descended upon the community on Thursday night. This incident followed an earlier assault in a neighboring village where three other individuals were murdered.
Ongoing violence has been noted throughout the region, with additional reports of shootings in the Dorowa area of Barkin Ladi LGA. Prior to these events, Barrister Solomon Mwantiri, who leads the Berom Youth-Moulders Association, had issued a formal warning regarding potential threats. Mwantiri urged travelers moving between Jos and Mangu to avoid the Dorowa Babuje route for their own protection. He further implored security forces to mobilize quickly to safeguard civilians and stabilize the area.
