Oyo Governor Makinde appoints Adeniran to lead APM presidential campaign

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has appointed SUBEB Chairman Dr. Nureni Adeniran to lead his presidential campaign and the APM governorship council in the state.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has appointed Dr. Nureni Adeniran, the current Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), to spearhead his presidential campaign efforts within the state. According to a formal announcement made on Wednesday in Ibadan by the governor’s media aide, Dr. Suleimon Olanrewaju, Adeniran will hold a dual role, also serving as the Director-General for the Allied People’s Movement (APM) gubernatorial campaign council in Oyo.

The APM has put forward Bimbo Adekanmbi, who previously served as Commissioner for Finance during the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s tenure, as its candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial race. The campaign council structure further includes former Oyo East Local Government Chairman Saheed Arowosaye, who is set to act as the deputy coordinator. Additionally, Demola Ojo, the current Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, has been appointed as the deputy Director-General for the southern region.

Dr. Olanrewaju confirmed that Governor Makinde, who is the APM presidential flagbearer, plans to officially inaugurate the new campaign council this Friday at his office’s conference room.
