Military forces neutralize roadside bomb in Borno

Operation Hadin Kai soldiers successfully neutralized an improvised explosive device found on the Dikwa-Gajibo road in Borno State, preventing potential harm to civilians and military personnel.

Soldiers under Operation Hadin Kai successfully located and destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) positioned on the Dikwa-Gajibo highway in Borno State. Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the event via social media on Tuesday.

The 81 Division Task Force Battalion personnel identified the threat at 10:10 a.m. on Monday while conducting a routine patrol. Upon discovery, the area was immediately cordoned off, and specialized Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts were summoned. The team performed a controlled detonation, ensuring no injuries or property destruction occurred.

This mission highlights the active stance of the military against Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters, who frequently attempt to endanger civilians and security convoys. The interception reflects the ongoing commitment of the armed forces to secure vital supply lines and maintain safety across the North-East region.
