AVA Capital prepares for Nigerian Exchange entry to boost market presence

AVA Capital Plc is scheduled to join the Nigerian Exchange Limited this Friday through a Listing by Introduction, a strategic move aimed at elevating its corporate profile.

AVA Capital Plc, a multifaceted financial services organization specializing in investment banking, asset management, securities trading, and trusteeship, plans to list on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) this Friday via Listing by Introduction.

This move serves as a strategic shift into the public sector designed to enhance the company’s institutional reputation rather than to secure additional funding. Managing Director Olukayode Fadahunsi described the transition as a logical step in the firm’s development. He emphasized that the company is entering the public arena with a robust platform and a clear dedication to operational transparency.

Fadahunsi explained that joining the exchange encourages the discipline and openness required for long-term corporate health. By meeting the 20 percent free-float requirement, AVA Capital aligns itself with the high governance and disclosure standards expected of public entities. While the listing does not involve issuing new equity, the firm expects to measure success through improved investor relations and the creation of sustainable value. This milestone reflects a wider trend of local financial institutions moving toward formalization and improved corporate governance within the Nigerian economy.
