Hope Uzodimma Named to Lead APC Osun Gubernatorial Campaign Council

The APC has appointed Senator Hope Uzodimma to lead its 276-member campaign council for the upcoming Osun State gubernatorial race.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a 276-member National Campaign Council and various subcommittees ahead of the Osun State gubernatorial election, set for August 15, 2026. Imo State Governor and head of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, will lead the council.

This announcement was released on Sunday by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, through the official APC social media channel. Supporting the council are co-chairmen Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas. The leadership team also includes Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari as Deputy Chairman and Senator Barau I. Jibrin as Secretary.

The council is composed of a broad range of party officials, governors, and lawmakers tasked with securing an election win. To organize the effort, the party formed specific subcommittees focused on logistics, media, finance, security, and various mobilization groups targeting youth, women, and citizens with disabilities. The formal inauguration for these groups is slated for Tuesday.
