President Bola Tinubu stated on Thursday that Nigeria has moved past its most difficult economic challenges and is currently operating a stable financial system. During a meeting at the State House with a delegation from the research group Aseyori Tinubu, led by Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, the President noted that his administration’s policy reforms are gaining international praise.
Tinubu highlighted that foreign companies are increasingly seeking investment partnerships in Nigeria, which he credits to the hard work of citizens supporting his reform agenda. He specifically pointed to the success of the NELFUND student loan program, which recently received extra funding from recovered EFCC assets. Furthermore, the President asserted that the education sector is stabilizing without strikes and that national security is showing consistent improvement.
Addressing Ambassador Ibrahim, who serves as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Tinubu praised his performance and encouraged him to continue striving for a permanent UN Security Council seat. In response, Ambassador Ibrahim commended the President’s leadership, noting that the administration’s reforms have improved Nigeria’s global image and attracted widespread foreign interest.
