The placeholder for the July 27 stream appeared on the franchise’s official channel Tuesday but was swiftly taken down. A team representative informed Reuters that staff members created the link while preparing for the potential arrival of the 41-year-old athlete.
James, who left the Los Angeles Lakers in June following an eight-year tenure and a 2020 championship, remains an elite performer. He averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds last season. As the NBA’s leader in both total points and games played, his addition would bolster a Heat roster that recently added Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, agent Rich Paul stated that James will not be pressured into a quick decision regarding his future.
