Soldiers from the 112 Task Force Battalion, in coordination with Hybrid Forces under Operation HADIN KAI, captured five individuals suspected of supplying logistics to terrorists. The operation occurred on July 20, 2026, in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.
Authorities identified the group after stopping their vehicles during an afternoon patrol. The shipment contained 491 cartons of veterinary dewormer and 100 cartons of animal multivitamins, none of which had the necessary transport documentation. A deeper inspection revealed hidden human medical items, such as Diclofenac Sodium, Benzylpenicillin, Dexamethasone, and Metronidazole.
Beyond medicine, the search yielded 30 LG plasma televisions, 152 empty bags, and several mobile phones. Initial reports suggest the goods were heading to N’Djamena, Chad, with plans to offload portions near the border to bypass security checkpoints. The five suspects are now with the 24 Task Force Brigade for questioning.
Military leaders emphasized that stopping these supply lines is vital to weakening terrorist capabilities in the North-East. They also called on transport companies and medical providers to strictly follow documentation protocols when moving cargo through the region.
