Social media creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely recognized as Peller, recently disclosed that he narrowly avoided a deadly vehicle accident involving music promoter Sam Larry. During an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Peller explained that he was scheduled to be a passenger in Sam Larry’s vehicle on the day of the tragic crash that resulted in the death of the promoter’s bouncer.
Peller credits his survival to his detention by police, which prevented him from accompanying the promoter as planned. He had intended to join Sam Larry for a hotel visit, but his arrest for operating a vehicle without a license plate in Lagos interrupted those plans. He ended up spending four days in a police cell, noting that officers pressured him to erase recordings of their alleged harassment on his phone.
The incident involving Sam Larry took place earlier this month on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Their car collided with a trailer, causing severe damage. While the music promoter survived, his security guard lost his life. In personal news, Peller and his fiancée have publicly announced that they are set to marry on August 1, 2026.
