Former presidential spokesperson Josef Onoh celebrates Peter Obi’s 65th birthday, commending his leadership, corporate achievements, and role in mobilizing Nigerian youth.

Josef Onoh, who previously acted as the Southeast spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu, shared a warm birthday message for Peter Obi as the politician celebrates turning 65. Onoh spoke for himself, his family, and the Forum of Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly to honor the former Anambra State governor, whom he labeled a dedicated statesman and business leader.

Onoh highlighted Obi’s history of corporate success, noting that his disciplined approach helped him thrive in the business sector long before he entered politics. He also credited Obi’s time as governor for establishing high standards in fiscal responsibility and effective governance.

Furthermore, Onoh praised Obi for his influence on the Nigerian youth. He suggested that the Obidient Movement sparked a renewed sense of political participation among a generation previously considered indifferent. He jokingly referred to Obi as the president of an electronic Nigeria due to his immense online support, calling the movement a phenomenon worthy of formal study.

Even though the two men align with different political parties, Onoh stressed that his personal admiration for Obi is firm. He noted that their brotherhood persists despite their political differences. On behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Onoh offered best wishes for Obi’s health and longevity, lightheartedly adding that the President hopes Obi stays in good enough health to witness his 2027 inauguration. The message concluded with a plea for national unity and collaborative efforts to build a prosperous country.
