Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, expressed his grief regarding the death of the mother of Rotimi Amaechi, the vice presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress. Obi reached out to Amaechi and his relatives to share his sympathies regarding the loss of Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi. He noted that the departure of a mother is an agonizing event and offered prayers for the family to find the resilience needed to cope with their bereavement.
