Reality TV personality and actress Bisola Aiyeola recently discussed her history of blindly defending friends, which often led to her becoming entangled in personal disputes that did not involve her. During her appearance on the Dear Ife podcast, she admitted that she previously adopted the grievances of her peers without considering the other side of the story.
Aiyeola decided to change her approach after experiencing a painful lesson where she supported a friend during a conflict, only to be ostracized once that friend reconciled with their adversary. This experience taught her to be more selective about which battles she chooses to fight.
While she noted that she does not require her friends to adopt her personal grudges, she remains firm on certain boundaries regarding romantic relationships. She explained that she would terminate any friendship if a close companion began dating one of her former partners, emphasizing that she has held herself to that same standard by ending connections with men who were involved in disputes with her best friends.
