Reports indicate this cautious approach stems from the backlash triggered by Obidi’s dancing at the resting place of Fela Kuti in December 2025. In an Instagram clip uploaded by the dancer this past Friday, Femi Kuti emphasized that he prefers to avoid unneeded public drama, stating he is already managing sufficient personal challenges.
To mitigate any rumors, the singer insisted that his sibling, Yeni Kuti, join them for the photo. He joked that even the weather seemed to oppose the snapshot, noting, “YK come and enter this picture, I don’t want any problems in my life. I have enough problems.” Obidi shared the interaction online, expressing her gratitude for the meeting with the musical legends at Legacy Studios.
