The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially published the list of candidates selected to join the Nigeria Police Force as constables. This announcement marks the conclusion of a recruitment process that officials described as fair, open, and inclusive.
PSC spokesman Torty Njoku stated that the project was a joint effort involving the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, and several other relevant government and community organizations. Applicants who took part in the written tests can verify their status via the official portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng starting at midnight on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Selected individuals will also be notified via the contact information provided during their application.
Those chosen must prepare for medical screenings and documentation. The commission emphasized that failure to appear on time will be considered a rejection of the position. Furthermore, failing the medical evaluation during the training phase will lead to immediate disqualification. Upon arrival, recruits are required to bring necessary documentation, including their training call-up slips, National Identification Number, Bank Verification Number, and verified academic credentials.
Chairman DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd) expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for authorizing the recruitment of 50,000 personnel to bolster the nation’s security. He encouraged the new recruits to serve the country with honesty and dedication.
