President Tinubu emphasizes performance over excuses during FCT project launch

President Bola Tinubu marked his third anniversary in office by launching a 98-kilometer water pipeline in Bwari, asserting that his administration is dedicated to delivering concrete results rather than providing excuses.

President Bola Tinubu stated on Tuesday that his government prioritizes tangible results over explanations for shortcomings. This declaration occurred during the inauguration of a new water supply infrastructure in Bwari, a satellite town within the Federal Capital Territory, which coincides with events commemorating his third year in office.

Speaking through his wife, Oluremi, the President emphasized that his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda serves as a binding social contract rather than empty rhetoric. He underscored his commitment to ensuring developmental projects reach both urban centers and rural regions.

The newly unveiled water network, which spans 98 kilometers, aims to replace the reliance on untreated water sources such as streams and boreholes in Bwari, Ushafa, and neighboring areas. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike presented the intervention plan to the President, who then authorized the mobilization of resources to finalize the project.

Tinubu noted that this initiative is vital for providing clean, dignified access to water. By connecting the region to the Usman Dam, the administration expects to improve public health by reducing water-borne diseases and eliminating the need for private borehole excavation.
