Governor Uba Sani Selects Experts to Boost Kaduna State Governance

Governor Uba Sani has appointed new aides and board members across various state agencies to strengthen administration performance and public service delivery in Kaduna.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has brought on board three new aides, along with several board chairmen and governing council members, to accelerate his administration’s reform goals. Chief Press Secretary Malam Ibraheem Musa announced the appointments on Monday, noting that these additions aim to improve governance and bring new momentum to public service.

Key appointments include Hon. Audu Maikori as Chief Strategic Advisor on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Umar Uba Maicitta as Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations, and Aminu Mohammed Gusau as Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications. For the Kaduna State University Governing Council, Dr. Ibrahim Umar takes the role of Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, joined by members Dr. Ibrahim Hamidu, Mallam Adamu Aliyu Shika, Mrs. Ladi Barnabas Bala Bantex, and Alhaji Adamu Attah representing the private sector.

The governor also appointed Alhaji Lawal Umar Meyere to lead the Kaduna Mining Development Company board and Mr. Tanko Kokwain to oversee the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority. Additionally, David Umar Gurara will chair the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency, while Yakubu El Saad Lere will head the Kaduna State Media Corporation board. These boards include various representatives from the state’s three zones.

Musa emphasized that these individuals were chosen for their professional expertise and history of success. Governor Sani has tasked the appointees to begin their work immediately, urging them to prioritize transparency, ethical conduct, and diligent service to ensure that the residents of Kaduna State receive the full benefits of his administration.
