Kachalla Sani Yellow, a well-known bandit leader, died during a clash in Zamfara State involving local hunters and the Civilian Joint Task Force. The incident occurred in the Anka Local Government Area, where vigilante groups engaged a band of criminals attempting to raid the district.
According to reports, the security volunteers successfully defended the region and neutralized the commander. Yellow was recognized as a key figure in the banditry operations plaguing Zamfara. Authorities have attributed numerous violent acts to him, including kidnappings and raids across Anka, Bukkuyum, and Maru, as well as broader criminal activity throughout the North-West.
DSP Yazid Abubakar, the police spokesperson for Zamfara State, confirmed the reports of the leader’s death. Following the engagement, images of the deceased commander have appeared on social media, sparking widespread public discussion throughout the region.
