Taraba PDP Official Resigns and Switches to APC Following Appointment by Governor Kefas

James Chimin has resigned as the Taraba State PDP Assistant Secretary to join the APC, citing his commitment to supporting Governor Agbu Kefas’s administration.

James Chimin, previously the State Assistant Secretary for the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba, has officially left the party. This move follows his recent appointment as a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Agbu Kefas. Chimin confirmed his transition to the All Progressives Congress during a press briefing in Jalingo this past Saturday.

Explaining his shift, Chimin stated that his primary motivation is to contribute to the growth and progress of Taraba State under the current administration. He emphasized his commitment to the success of President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates representing Taraba South in upcoming elections.

The former official expressed gratitude to Governor Kefas, noting that the administration has shown significant appreciation for the Tiv community through various appointments. Chimin reiterated his dedication to the governor’s vision and his new political alignment.
