The Ooni of Ife has praised President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian security forces for the successful rescue of students and teachers who were held captive for 56 days in Oyo State.

Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has formally expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, the Oyo State administration, and national security services following the safe release of the students and teachers kidnapped in Oriire. The announcement, released via palace spokesperson Moses Olafare on Saturday, highlighted the profound relief felt by the victims’ families after the group endured 56 days of captivity.

The Ooni emphasized that the mission’s success highlights the current administration’s dedication to safeguarding the citizenry. He specifically honored the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Department of State Services for their tactical skill and bravery.
