The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully demolished a militant stronghold in Yaganari, located within the Gezuwa region of Borno State. This operation was executed by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, announced the success on Saturday.
These strikes were launched on July 10, following intelligence reports that signaled a rise in insurgent activity and a gathering of fighters in that specific location. Surveillance efforts prior to the attack confirmed the existence of logistical hubs and militant buildings. The subsequent precision strikes successfully demolished these facilities and killed a number of insurgents.
The Air Force stated that this mission is part of a broader strategy to weaken terrorist networks, restrict their movement, and prevent them from reorganizing. Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff, praised the team for their expert conduct. He emphasized that the NAF remains dedicated to persistent offensive maneuvers and will continue collaborating with ground troops to eliminate terrorist safe havens.
