Zamfara State initiates recruitment drive for 3,050 educators

Zamfara State has commenced an online recruitment process to fill 3,050 primary school teaching positions, with applications closing on July 16, 2026.

The Zamfara State government has officially launched an online portal to hire 3,050 new primary school instructors. According to a statement released by Maryam Yahaya Shantali, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the recruitment window is open from July 2, 2026, until July 16, 2026.

To qualify, candidates must be Zamfara indigenes aged 18 to 35. They are required to hold appropriate teaching credentials, such as an NCE, B.Ed., or a relevant degree combined with a PGDE. Furthermore, applicants must present a TRCN certificate, an NYSC discharge or exemption document, and must express willingness to work in any rural area within the state. A non-refundable processing fee of N1,000 is required via the Pay Zamfara system.

The government is specifically prioritizing candidates skilled in Mathematics, English Language, Basic Science, Computer Science, and other core subjects. All necessary documents, including academic records and proof of identity, must be uploaded during the application process. Following an automated screening, successful candidates will be invited to sit for a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Officials noted that any attempts at fraud, incomplete submissions, or multiple entries will lead to immediate disqualification.
