Denzel Dumfries joins Real Madrid in €20 million move from Inter Milan

Real Madrid has finalized the signing of defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan for €20 million, marking a four-year agreement for the Dutch international.

Real Madrid successfully secured the services of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan this Sunday, with the deal reportedly valued at 20 million euros.

In an official announcement, the Spanish club confirmed that the 30-year-old right-back has signed a four-year contract, keeping him at the Santiago Bernabéu through June 30, 2030. Dumfries, who recently participated in the World Cup with the Netherlands before their exit against Morocco, will compete for a starting spot alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Before this transition, Dumfries spent time at Inter Milan following his 2021 move from PSV Eindhoven. During his tenure in Italy, he claimed two Serie A titles and reached the Champions League final on two occasions. He joins a growing list of summer arrivals at Madrid, including Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konate.

The club, now managed by Jose Mourinho, is working to renovate its roster after two seasons without a significant trophy. Additionally, Real Madrid confirmed that Antonio Rudiger has signed a contract extension through 2027, filling a defensive gap left by the departures of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.
