Arsenal has finalized an agreement to transfer defensive midfielder Christian Norgaard to Everton. This move precedes the anticipated arrival of Newcastle United player Bruno Guimaraes at the North London club.
Reports from The Athletic indicate that Norgaard’s departure is imminent as manager Mikel Arteta seeks to restructure his midfield lineup ahead of the upcoming campaign. The two clubs have settled on a transfer fee of £7 million for the 32-year-old.
Norgaard arrived at Arsenal from Brentford only a year ago in a deal worth £10 million. Despite the team’s success in capturing their first league title in over two decades, the Danish international struggled for playing time, totaling only 20 appearances across all competitions. He featured in the starting lineup for just one Premier League match throughout the season.
