Sudesh Singh named technical adviser for Malawi Scorchers ahead of WAFCON 2026

Malawi has hired Sudesh Singh as technical adviser to ensure compliance with CAF licensing regulations before the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Football Association of Malawi has enlisted Sudesh Singh as a technical adviser for the national women’s team, the Scorchers, in preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Singh will collaborate with head coach Lovemore Fazili and performance analyst Tyrese Steyn. This appointment complies with a Confederation of African Football mandate requiring all tournament coaches to possess a CAF A Licence. While Singh focuses on technical support, Fazili will retain his role as the head coach for the competition. Malawi is set to make its tournament debut in Morocco, where the team will compete in Group C alongside Nigeria, Zambia, and Egypt. The Scorchers are scheduled to begin their journey in Rabat on July 28 with a match against the Super Falcons.
