Governor Ademola Adeleke has stated that his government is advancing road and bridge construction in Osun State while avoiding long-term financial liabilities for future generations. This commitment was highlighted during the opening of the 672-meter Lameco Flyover in Osogbo, a project launched in October 2023 as a cornerstone of the administration’s N100 billion infrastructure initiative.

During the Wednesday commissioning ceremony, the Governor emphasized that this project aligns with a broader strategy to revitalize the state. He noted that the administration is focused on essential sectors including health, education, and water services to improve daily life for all residents. According to the Governor, the initiative adhered to strict transparency and global quality benchmarks.

Highlighting the success of local expertise, Adeleke noted that the flyover demonstrates the capability of regional engineers to deliver high-quality infrastructure. The administration reports the completion of over 27 kilometers of roads within Osogbo and 300 kilometers throughout the state, alongside ten additional large-scale projects ready for public use. The Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, praised the project for its strategic location, noting that it will improve traffic flow and stimulate local economic activity.
